Summer Attractions
Mountain Climbing - The Teton Range is home to some of the best climbing in North America. Guide services offer trips into the Tetons for all level of ability, and for the beginner they offer several courses in climbing and general mountaineering.
Climbing Gym - The Teton Rock Gym is a masterpiece of geometric design by Jeff Ellington of Entre Prise USA. Its surface varieties range from steep slabs to huge overhangs, from easy vertical to obtuse stemming walls, as well as two bouldering caves for the ultimate in endurance training and power. Private and group lessons are available. The weight room offers machines and free weights, stair machines and finger boards. Rental shoes, harnesses and chalk bags available.
Hiking - Guide services offer hikes to unique areas and instruction on flowers, geology, birds, mammals and local history of the area. Hikes cater to all levels of physical ability with most common distances of 4 to 6 miles
(12 mile hikes available for the avid hiker).
Grand Teton National Park Tour - This is a morning or afternoon trip with an interpretive guide to accompany you. Some of the half day scenic drives include the Signal Mountain Summit Road which provides a panoramic view of the entire Teton Range, Jackson Lake and most of Jackson Hole; the Jenny Lake drive which affords a spectacular up close view of the Cathedral Group: the Grand, Teewinot and Mt. Owen; or a simple trip to historic Menor's Ferry and the Chapel of the Transfiguration. The altar window of the chapel perfectly frames the tallest Teton peaks.
Yellowstone National Park Tour - This is an all day event which consists of an interpretive guide accompanying you through the lower loop of Yellowstone with a lunch provided for the stop at Old Faithful herself. This is quite a trip with highlights such as the geysers and hot springs, the Yellowstone Lake area and the possibility of wildlife around every bend.
Wildlife Expedition - A comfortable safari vehicle equipped with opening roof hatches, spotting scopes and binoculars will allow you, without disturbing the animals, to get an intimate look into their day-to-day world. An expedition with Great Plains Wildlife Institute is more than just a peek at Wyoming's majestic wildlife. It's a fascinating and insightful look into the world in which they live.
Aerial Tram - From the valley floor you'll rise nearly a mile up Rendezvous Mountain in an enclosed tram. You'll learn about the area from a native guide. At 10,450 feet you will see one of the worlds most spectacular views --- a 300-mile panorama of seven mountain ranges, blue lakes, winding rivers, national forests, scenic valleys and a birds eye view of the Grand Teton. You can stop and smell the flowers, too. On top, guides lead regularly scheduled hikes into Bridger-Teton National Forest. You can also hike down the mountain through Grand Teton National Park. Or catch the next tram!
Alpine Slide - This slide winds down Snow King Mountain through 2500 feet of woods and wild flowers. Start out by riding the Rafferty Chair lift to the top of the slide. You control the speed so it can be as exciting or relaxing as you choose while you wind through wild flowers, trees and the beautiful mountain atmosphere. Definitely no experience needed! And for the adults who think it's for kids, well, try it once and you might find you'll want to do it again.
Glider Rides - Soar over the Tetons or the Geysers and Canyons of Yellowstone Park just like the eagles do! Luxurious passenger aircraft. Grand Teton Glider Rides is the ultimate in the West.
Hot Air Ballooning - The ultimate Jackson Hole float trip where wildlife abounds and the views take your breath away. This excursion includes a continental champagne picnic breakfast and aeronaut certificates.
Scenic Float Trips - Floating down the Snake River through Grand Teton National Park is not only spectacular, it's an experience that is truly "once in a lifetime!" Mountain Biking- Scenic mountain bike tours in the Grand Teton National Park, the Yellowstone National Park and Bridger-Teton National Forest. Each tour is designed to accommodate riders from novice to expert with seasoned bike guides to accompany you.
Fly Fishing - Guide services offer full and half day trips which are designed for those who wish to experience fishing on the Snake River for native Cutthroat Trout. For the diehard fisherman it is all that can be hoped for. For the family it is a wonderful combination of fishing, sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
Trail Rides- Enjoy a guided horseback ride atop the East Gros Ventre Butte with Spring Creek Ranch's W.W. Guides. Unique views of the Teton Range, Sleeping Indian, Gros Ventre Range, Jackson Hole valley and the town of Jackson. Rides are offered for one to four hours.
Breakfast / Dinner Horseback Ride- Take a one hour ride with Spring Creek Ranch's W.W. Guides atop the ridge at Spring Creek with a hearty meal to follow outside the Corral area.
Full Day Horseback Excursion- A day of Horseback riding is the true escape into the solitude and tranquility of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Spectacular scenery; plenty of wildlife - moose, elk, deer and no crowds. As a matter of fact you may be the only people traveling through. Both Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis and Teton Pines offer excellent courses and are near the resort.Tennis- Tennis courts are available throughout the summer months free of charge at Spring Creek. Tennis is also available throughout the year at Teton Pines.
