Nunavut

Nunavut is a wild and isolated place, stretching north above the tree line from Hudson Bay up to Ellesmere Island National Park, within spitting distance of the North Pole. The provincial capital is Iqaluit, formerly called Frobisher Bay, on the east coast of Baffin Island. There are hiking trails in the vicinity. Most visitors pass through en route to Auyuittuq National Park, Canada's third largest national park, and one of only a few in the world north of the Arctic Circle. The pristine wilderness of mountains, valleys, fjords and meadows is a spectacular must for experienced hikers, and climbers flock to Mount Thor, the tallest uninterrupted cliff face on earth.

Along the St. Lawrence River many people come to take a horse-drawn calèche ride through cobbled streets for romantic moments. Just miles away are the skyscrapers of the city as they tower above the city’s businesses and restaurants. Montreal is the world’s second largest French-speaking City. It's top ten attractions are: The Biosphere, Old Montreal, Biodome de Montreal, Musee d'Art Contemporain, Montreal Botanical Gardens, Chinatown, Notre-Dame Basilica, Insectarium, Cours Mont-Royal, and the Canadian Centre for Architecture.

Nome

"There's No Place Like Nome!" Nome, Alaska is most known for being the finish line for the annual Iditarod Race, where dogs and mushers travel 1,049 miles from Anchorage. End of the Trail activities are usually held all month long in March. The list of things to do is a mile long in Nome, including exploring the local wilderness, taking a dog sled ride, Russia is 1 hour away by plane, watch Native dancers, and even have lunch with the Elders at the local Senior Center.

Kangerlussuaq Fjord

Kangerlussuaq is a long Fjord just north of the polar circle, in western Greenland. This Fjord is unique because if its nature and rich biodiversity. The surrounding landscape features glaciers that feed into the Fjord, as well as plains covered in plants, wildflowers, and greenery. The Fjord is also home to a number of wildlife including musk ox, reindeer, and arctic foxes. Visitors are in for a treat when visiting this beautiful region of Greenland.


Sisimuit

Sisimuit is a growing town located in western Greenland. It is one of the main village destinations in Greenland, and an administrative center for the Qeqqata Municipality. The population of Sisimiut was recorded of 5,598 inhabitants living in the town in 2013. One of the main attractions is the multicolor Northern Lights of the Aurora Borelis that take place during the months of September to April. Aside from this amazing phenomenon, many visitors come to Sisimuit to enjoy activities such as fishing, hiking, and dog sledding. 

Uummannaq

Uummannaq Island is located 590 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in northwestern Greenland. Uummannaq has been host to unique events such as the Ice Golf Championship, Greenland Shark Challenge and the National Championship in Kayaking. Attractions of Uummannaq include archaeological and historical sites such as the Qilakitsoq mummies - an ancient Eskimo burial site where 500 year old mummies were discovered or settlements of the hunter/trapper culture. Also of interest are dog sled trips, whales, bird cliffs, glaciers, a museum and, of course, May to July this is the land of the midnight sun.

Beechey Island is located in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago of Nanavut, Canada. It is known for the Franklin Expedition in 1845 and the search for the Northwest Passage, and was declared a Territorial Historic Site.
